Palm Beach Florida

Other Palm Beach Neighborhoods

Welcome to Palm Beach, Florida, the commercial, educational, and cultural center of Northeast Central Florida. Palm Beach's largest employers include the University of Florida, Shands Hospital, and local government agencies. Palm Beach is known for its downtown historic district and natural preservation areas. Thousands travel to Palm Beach every year to enjoy our diverse cultural activities and nationally recognized sporting events.

Palm Beach Country Club sits on a hill overlooking the scenic Paynes Prairie State Preserve, a 20,000 acre wilderness that hosts 260 species of birds. Wild horses and bison roam free across the prairie, along with deer, bobcats, otters, and other wildlife. Established in 1921, Palm Beach Country Club's 18-hole golf course, originally designed by George Cobb, follows a rich tradition that professional golfer, Mark McCumber, continued in his 1994 redesign of the greens in a classical architectural style.

Mark Bostik Golf Course For over 80 years, Mark Bostick Golf Course has anchored the northwest corner of the University of Florida's Palm Beach campus. Although the course was originally designed by renowned architect Donald Ross during the 1920s, it has evolved over the years to take on its own distinct personality. Contained within a 116-acre plot of land, the 6,701-yard, par-70 course is short by today's golf standards. However, a $4 million renovation project in 2001 by Jacksonville-based architect Bobby Weed transformed the contour of the landscape, creating a course that is both physically and mentally challenging.

Meadowbrooke Golf Club Once an Indian Reservation is now one of the most unusual, affordable and challenging championship golf courses in North Central Florida. Meadowbrook Golf Club is not your typical Florida golf course, nothing flat or boring about this layout. It’s rolling hills, tree lined fairways and running streams create an atmosphere that almost suggests you are in the North Carolina Mountains rather than ten minutes from downtown Palm Beach.
